National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation Elects Board Officers

[Washington, D.C.] (February 5, 2021) – The National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI), the national voice for not-for-profit hospice and palliative care providers that care for care more than 100,000 people facing advanced illness and their families each day, announced the election of Board Officers.

“Our Board of Directors is comprised of a dedicated team of program leaders who each bring unique strengths and perspectives that help guide NPHI in its mission to be the national voice for our not-for-profit hospice, palliative and advanced illness care member programs,” said NPHI CEO Tom Koutsoumpas. The new officers begin their two-year term effective January 1st, 2021. Congratulations to:

• Vice Chair – Diana Franchitto, President & CEO, HopeHealth
• Secretary – Debbie Shumway, President & CEO, Hospice of the Valley
• Treasurer – Mary Ann Boccolini, President & CEO, Samaritan

NPHI is grateful for the Officers’ willingness to serve our members in this capacity. We would also like to thank Phil Marshall for his service as Chair these past two years along with Christy Whitney for her service as Board Secretary. Christy will continue to serve on the Board as Founder Emeritus.

NPHI has been an active advocate for the availability of a crucial safety net for the sickest, most vulnerable patients that is evident through our community organizations. Amidst the pandemic, the organization has announced collaborations that will improve cardiac care at home, improve mental health support of healthcare workers, and made steps to address health disparities.
