WASHINGTON — The National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI) is thrilled to announce the addition of two new members to our compassionate, mission-driven community: Catholic Hospice and Fairhope Hospice and Palliative Care.
Catholic Hospice, established in 1988, has been serving the Broward and Miami-Dade/Monroe counties in Florida for over 35 years. As a not-for-profit provider, Catholic Hospice offers compassionate care to individuals of all faiths navigating serious, life-limiting illnesses. Their focus is on maximizing quality of life at home or within their welcoming inpatient care centers. Catholic Hospice provides a comprehensive range of services, including hospice and palliative care, Music Therapy, Pet Peace of Mind, grief support, Veterans Hospice Care, a wishes granted program, and Camp Erin, a free weekend camping experience for youth dealing with grief.
Fairhope Hospice and Palliative Care, known for its serene home-like setting at The Pickering House, has deep roots in South Central Ohio, serving the counties of Fairfield, Franklin, Licking, Perry, Pickaway, Hocking, and Muskingum for over 40 years. Their mission emphasizes a compassionate, professional team approach to end-of-life care, striving to relieve suffering by providing comfort, support, and essential resources to meet the palliative and grief needs of the community. Fairhope Hospice is committed to ensuring that no one is turned away based on their inability to pay, further solidifying their place as a leader in high-quality, community-focused care.
As with all our mission-driven nonprofit members, both Catholic Hospice and Fairhope Hospice support uncompensated and under-compensated hospice care, highlighting their commitment to serving the community with compassion and dignity.
Tom Koutsoumpas, NPHI CEO remarked: “We are delighted to welcome Catholic Hospice and Fairhope Hospice to our innovative community. Their dedication to providing high-quality, compassionate care is commendable, and we look forward to working collectively to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals and families everywhere.”
