NPHI Welcomes Center for Hospice Care to its Network, Further Elevating Compassionate Hospice and Palliative Care Nationwide

[WASHINGTON D.C.] February 20, 2024 – The National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI) extends a warm welcome to Center for Hospice Care, the newest member of its network of over 100 not-for-profit advanced illness, hospice, and palliative care providers.

Center for Hospice Care, Indiana’s foremost not-for-profit hospice provider, is committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals and families in their community. Through their comprehensive range of services including hospice, home health, grief counseling, and community education, Center for Hospice Care strives to ensure that patients and their loved ones receive the utmost support and comfort during challenging times. Their unwavering dedication to improving the quality of life underscores their mission to provide compassionate care and assistance throughout life’s journey.

Since 1980, Center for Hospice Care has kept their promise that no one eligible for hospice services will be turned away, regardless of their ability to pay. Their comprehensive services include hospice and palliative care, at-home and inpatient care services, and extensive bereavement programs for families. In addition to their core services, Center for Hospice Care has developed innovative programs to meet the unique needs of their patients. HeartWize for advanced heart disease, BreatheEazy for COPD, and their DementiaCare Program provide specialized support tailored to patients affected by these conditions.

“We are thrilled to welcome Center for Hospice Care to NPHI. Their dedication to improving the quality of life for those in their final months of living aligns with our work and mission at NPHI,” stated Tom Koutsoumpas, NPHI CEO. “Center for Hospice Care’s commitment to providing the full complement of care services, including innovative programs tailored to meet the unique needs of their patients, is truly extraordinary, and we look forward to working together to advance quality care for individuals and families facing advanced illness.”

“Center for Hospice Care is excited to join NPHI and looks forward to the opportunities for organizational-wide engagement in their many forums and workgroups as well as collaborating with and learning from other NPHI members,” noted CHC’s President and CEO John Mastrojohn III.
