NPHI Welcomes Navian Hawaii to its National Membership

[WASHINGTON D.C., February 5th, 2024] – The National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI) extends a warm welcome to Navian Hawaii, the newest addition to its membership of over 100 not-for-profit advanced illness, hospice, and palliative care providers.

Celebrating its 45th anniversary, Navian Hawaii, formerly recognized as Hospice Hawaii, is a mission-driven not-for-profit organization that cares for individuals facing life-threatening illnesses. The Navian ohana (family) provides clarity and guidance through times of uncertainty. As guardians, they deliver healing and compassion, and as navigators, the organization works tirelessly to improve the lives of Hawaii’s people, emphasizing the need to “celebrate every one of life’s moments, and navigate always in the direction of hope.

Today, Navian Hawaii delivers comprehensive hospice care, including pediatric care, integrated care, and supportive care to both the patient and their family, incorporating grief support as an integral aspect of their services.

“We are thrilled to welcome Navian Hawaii into the NPHI family,” expressed Tom Koutsoumpas, NPHI CEO. “Their commitment to supporting patients and their families during their end-of-life journey by preserving dignity and allowing them to live fully aligns perfectly with NPHI’s values. We look forward to the impact of their example on our collective mission.”

“We are incredibly honored to join the National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation, especially considering one has to be nominated for membership,” said Navian Hawaii Interim President & CEO Ken Zeri. “We look forward to collaborating on advocacy and education initiatives with other dedicated NPHI members and exchanging ideas, sharing best practices, and building more advanced models of care for hospice patients and families.”

The National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation eagerly looks forward to collaborating closely with Navian Hawaii, leveraging its extensive expertise and unwavering commitment to advancing compassionate and patient-centered care on a national scale.
