[WASHINGTON, D.C., January 8, 2023] – The National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI) is excited to announce the appointment of two distinguished hospice leaders, Cathy Conway and Viki Jingle, to its board of directors.
Cathy Conway, CEO of Hospice of Santa Cruz County, brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to community service to the board. Joining Hospice of Santa Cruz County in 2004 as Director of Development and previously serving as Chief Mission Officer, Cathy has played a pivotal role in advancing the mission of the organization. She is deeply invested in her community and shares in the organization’s vision that all members of the community should live and die with dignity. She commits to upholding that vision through advancing innovation, program development, access to care, major gifts cultivation, strategic planning, and leadership development.
Viki Jingle, CEO of Community Healthcare of Texas, previously worked in the for-profit hospice sector for more than six years. This experience gave her a unique perspective and understanding of the philosophical differences between for-profit and not-for-profit hospice providers. She firmly believes that patients and families are negatively impacted when hospice and palliative care providers are more focused on bottom-line profits than individualized care. Viki is an advocate for patient-centered care and is proud to work in the not-for-profit hospice sector, where she can ensure patients, families, and communities have access to exceptional care regardless of financial limitations.
“We are delighted to welcome both Cathy and Viki to the board,” stated Tom Koutsoumpas, NPHI CEO. “Their combined accomplishments and dedication to enhancing patient-centered care will be beneficial to the work we are conducting nationally. We look forward to leveraging their talents to ensure NPHI and its members continue to deliver the highest quality serious illness care in the nation.”
In line with NPHI’s ongoing dedication to promoting compassionate, mission-driven, and patient-centered care, the addition of Cathy Conway and Viki Jingle significantly enhances the organization’s leadership and strategic outlook. NPHI eagerly anticipates the positive impact their presence on the board will bring.
