NPHI Welcomes Kaua`i Hospice as its Newest Member

WASHINGTON, July 11, 2023 – The National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI), the national voice for mission-driven end-of-life care providers, welcomes Kaua`i Hospice as its newest member.

Kaua`i Hospice provides the highest quality of life possible for patients and their families as they face life-limiting illness. Services offered by the organization include hospice and palliative care, grief and bereavement services, and care provision that is expressly tailored to each patient’s needs and wishes.

“NPHI extends a warm welcome to Kaua`i Hospice and looks forward to engaging closely with them,” said, Tom Koutsoumpas, NPHI CEO. “I value their commitment to ensuring patients and their families have access to the highest quality care and sincerely look forward to continuing that reality alongside our dedicated NPHI members.”

From its grassroots beginnings in 1983, Kaua`i Hospice has cared for thousands of patients as the only hospice on the “Garden Isle” of Kauai, Hawaii. In addition to patient care and services offered to families, the organization seeks to educate the community on the value of hospice and promote its benefits for those facing serious illness.

“Kaua`i Hospice welcomes the opportunity to work other respected mission-driven organizations that form the membership of NPHI,” said, Tricia Yamashita, Executive Director, Kaua’i Hospice “We look forward to exchanging ideas, sharing best practices, and building more advanced models of care for hospice patients and families.”
