WASHINGTON — The National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI), the voice for nonprofit hospice and advanced illness care, is thrilled to commence 2025 by announcing the addition of two new outstanding members to our compassionate, mission-driven community: Hospice of Hope and North Hawaii Hospice

Hospice of Hope, established in 1988, is a mission-driven nonprofit providing compassionate care and support to terminally ill children, adults, and their families across 14 counties in Northern Kentucky and Southern Ohio. Serving a 4,500-square-mile area, Hospice of Hope operates the region’s only two hospice care centers, partners with over fifty long-term care facilities, and engages more than 100 volunteers contributing 7,000+ hours annually. Rooted in the belief that everyone deserves comfort and dignity, Hospice of Hope offers comprehensive services, including free educational presentations and accessible referral options for families and caregivers.

North Hawaii Hospice has provided over three decades of compassionate care and support to patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses in North and South Kohala and the Hamakua District since their establishment in 1986. Rooted in a philosophy of dignity and comfort, North Hawaii Hospice offers expert, home-based care to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, ensuring patients can spend their final days in peace. Beyond patient care, they provide grief and bereavement support for loved ones and educational resources on end-of-life issues, empowering individuals to approach this delicate time with comfort and understanding.

Hospice of Hope and North Hawaii Hospice reflect the core values of our mission-driven nonprofit members, offering compassionate care that prioritizes community support and ensures individuals and families receive the help they need, regardless of financial circumstances, during life’s most challenging moments.

Tom Koutsoumpas, NPHI CEO remarked: We are thrilled to welcome Hospice of Hope and North Hawaii Hospice to our mission-driven, innovative community. Their commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality, community-based care reflects the core values of NPHI, and we’re excited to join forces in advancing innovative care for patients and their families.”
